"He causeth the grass to grow for food, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth; And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth a man's heart." ~Psalm 104: 14-15

The flip-side: herbs left on the (missionary) field

Well, I didn't realize last year that just 12 months later I'd be on the other end of the left-my-herbs-behind lament. Now I'm home, and most of the wonderful herbal collection is left behind (again)! This time it was totally unexpected and not preventable (as opposed to my ridiculous lack of foresight in the past).

I do have a small collection of the herbs that I most missed before,
and some I've added to my travel first aid kit -which is such an exciting subject to me! someday that post will come! - so I'm not totally in a black hole. I also have the herbs I'd ordered and planned to take back to replenish my stock out there....

I'm glad I've some experience under my belt, have done some research, and kept notes of things I learned. Plus, Bulk Herb Store orders are much more possible now, and best of all, I have herbs in my backyard!

Well, "in all things be grateful"...for me that means thank God right now for the situations that have changed unexpectedly, and being grateful that He is Mast of my life, and Lover of my soul. :)
